Description

This Caterpillar D5 crawler dozer (serial 68J03505) is a Japan-built vintage track dozer from the classic 1967–1977 D5 era — the generation that filled the gap between Cat D4 and D6 sizes. These machines used the Cat D333 diesel (~93 HP class) and were popular worldwide for land clearing, road building, logging, and general dirt work. This unit shows 8,085 hours on the service meter and includes a straight dozer blade — ready for pushing, backfilling, and landing work. The operator station uses an open ROPS canopy with heavy mesh forestry guards on the sides and rear, plus work lights — a configuration suited to bush and logging environments rather than a closed cab. The seller reports it runs and moves — Cosmetically, the machine is vintage: surface rust on the blade, tracks, and frame; peeling yellow paint; and a worn operator seat. It has lived outdoors, with vegetation around the undercarriage.
